Create Real Impact Scholarship 2025 is open to students aged 14 – 22; the Create Real Impact contest is an exceptional opportunity to generate and showcase socially conscious art and get recognized for it.

It is an opportunity to earn educational grants for students and schools and also a chance to create a real impact.

The artwork must address the issue of reckless and distracted driving in an inspired and compelling way, as well as meet criteria based on its format.

Scholarship Description

Create Real Impact wants you to create and promote innovative and effective SOLUTIONS to the deadly epidemic of reckless and distracted driving. Entries are accepted in four formats (writing, art, music, and video). There are a total of 9 awards will be given to the most deserving applicants.

Level/Field of Study

High school and college levels in any field can apply for the Create Real Impact contest scholarship. Undergraduates can check our Undergraduate Scholarships and masters scholarships for masters students.

Host Nationality

Eligible Nationality

Scholarship Worth

Judging for this contest will happen in two (2) ways:

  • Four (4) Grand Prize Individual Educational Grants of one thousand five hundred USD ($1500) may be awarded, one (1) per category (video, art, music, and creative writing) by a panel of qualified judges, whose decisions regarding the contest and related matters are final. Online voting in no way influences the board of judges’ decisions. Entries will be judged on the following:
  • 25 percent (%) concept/creativity
  • 25 percent (%) execution of the idea
  • 50 percent (%) effectiveness of the message (remember, the focus is SOLUTIONS)
  • Four (4) Top Online Vote Getter Educational Grants of five hundred USD ($500) may be awarded, one (1) per category (music, video, art, and creative writing) to the entrant with the most online votes in each category.

Special Awards

  • One (1) thousand five Hundred USD ($1500) Spanish Language Winner Educational Grant will be awarded to one Spanish language entry in the category of art or video. If entered in the art or video categories, Spanish language entries could only be considered for this award. (The Spanish language entries ought to be accompanied by an English translation to be accepted and considered for this contest.) Grant will be awarded at the sole discretion of a panel of judges. The sponsor reserves the right to not award an educational grant in any category with less than 30 entries.
  • One (1) Sports Team Grant of One thousand five hundred USD [$1500] (chosen from video category; open to middle school and high school sports teams barely)
  • Special awards will be given by a panel of qualified judges whose decisions regarding the contest and related matters are final. Online voting in no way influences the panel of judges’ decisions. Entries will be judged on the following:
    • 25 percent (%) concept/creativity
    • 25 percent (%) execution of the idea
    • 50 percent (%) effectiveness of the message (remember, the focus is SOLUTIONS)
  • Three (3) Top School Awards of One thousand USD ($1000) to the top three (3) high schools with the most entries (a minimum of 25 entries, regardless of category) at the discretion of the judges.

Winners will be informed first by phone or email the week of November 16, 2025. A published list of winners will also be presented on the website and social media from November 23- 27, 2025. Winners should comply with all contest rules as published. The sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the announcement and award if the winner(s) cannot generate the required evidence of eligibility.

Eligibility for Create Real Impact Scholarship 2025 

Create Real Impact Contest Awards are obtainable only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. The candidates must be between the ages of 14 and 22 years.

The candidates must be full-time students in an accredited educational institution (secondary [middle/high] school, college, trade school, or university).

Residency, age, and current enrollment at an accredited educational institution will be verified and subject to the final assessment of eligibility by Impact Teen Drivers.

All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

Requirements for Create Real Impact Scholarship 2025

Create an original work showing your idea for a SOLUTION or STRATEGY to fix the very real problem of reckless and distracted driving.

All entries must take note of the following requirements:

  • Candidates should not feature imagery or dialogue that is inappropriate, hateful, obscene, tortuous, defamatory, indecent, dangerous, slanderous, or libelous;
  • Candidates should not promote bigotry, racism, hatred, or harm against any group or individual or promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age;
  • Candidates should not engage in being under the influence of alcohol or drugs while driving or drinking alcohol or using drugs;
  • Candidates should not be created for or entered into a previous Create Real Impact contest or any other contest;
  • Candidates should not feature the brand, catchphrase, or logo of any organization, campaign, contest, etc., that is not affiliated with Impact Teen Drivers;
  • Candidates should not disparage Impact Teen Drivers, Create Real Impact, or any other person or party affiliated with the Create Real Impact contest and administration and promotion of the contest.

Make sure your entrance is in the correct and accepted format and follows the exact requirements for each category:

Video:

  • It should be 60 seconds in length or shorter;
  • It should be original;
  • Should be uploaded to YouTube;
  • It should be in English;
  • Be publicly accessible on YouTube;
  • It should be tagged with Impact Teen Drivers on YouTube;
  • Should be registered on the Create Real Impact website;
  • Include appropriate cast and crew credits and any back-story of the piece in the description;
  • Not include any footage of dangerous or reckless driving or driving that violates the California Vehicle Code or any California law.

  • Entries using borrowed imagery, music, lyrics, and so on must secure expressed and written permission for use within the piece, and that permission should be forwarded to Impact Teen Drivers. By submitting your entry, you agree that you have secured permission for any music, lyrics, imagery, etc., before submitting.

Music

  • The music should be 90 seconds in length or shorter;
  • It should be an original work;
  • It should be in English;
  • The music should be uploaded directly on the Create Real Impact website;
  • Should be registered on the Create Real Impact website;
  • It should comprise song lyrics, credits, and a back-story of the piece in the description.
  • Entries using borrowed lyrics, music, melody, and so on must secure expressed and written permission for use within the piece, and that permission should be sent to Impact Teen Drivers.

Creative Writing

  • It should be original work;
  • It should be in English;
  • Must be within the word count range: 100 words min, 600 words max;
  • Text submitted directly on the Create Real Impact website;
  • Should be registered on the Create Real Impact website;
  • It should comprise any back story of the piece in the description.

Artwork:

  • The artwork should be original work;
  • It should be in English;
  • It should be one of the following three categories: poster, infographic, or brochure;
  • Poster: One (1) file accepted per entrant
  • Infographic: One (1) file accepted per entrant
  • Brochure: One (1) file accepted per entrant
  • It should be uploaded directly on the Create Real Impact website;
  • The artwork should be registered on the Create Real Impact website;
  • Entries using borrowed imagery must secure expressed and written permission for use within the piece, and that permission should be sent to Impact Teen Drivers.

There are two additional categories for award consideration

  • Spanish Entry Award: Spanish language entries might be submitted in the categories of art or video. Spanish language entries ought to include an English translation to be acknowledged. For art entries: include the translation in the description. For video entries, it comprises translation in the description or English subtitles.
  • Sports Team Award: The sports team entries may be submitted to the video category. The sports teams must also be school teams (middle school or high school). The videos created by a sports team must include the sports team’s name in the sketch. What qualifies as a sports “team” will be resolute solely by Impact Teen Drivers.

Late, Lost, or Incorrect Entries for Create Real Impact Scholarship 2025

The sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, unintelligible, illegible, invalid, misdirected, or void submissions. In addition, by entering, contestants signify and warrant that the entries that they submit:

  • Are their original creation copied?
  • Do not breach any other person’s or entity’s rights, including art, music, etc.
  • Were not created or filmed while violating California law.

LIMIT: One (1) entry per person during the Award Contest Period.

Application Deadline for Create Real Impact Scholarship 2025

Entries for the contest must be submitted before November 13, 2025.

On the other hand, the voting will be open from November 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. PT through November 19, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Registered voters may cast up to 10 votes per day (12:00 am – 11:59 pm daily).

All voters should provide their names and a valid email address at registration (one email address per person may vote). All votes may be distributed at the discretion of the voter.

No amendment will be made once the vote has been cast.
